I’m paying for it

My morning run did not go too well. Well, two of the three components of running were not good! My will was so-so. My lungs were fine. However, my body it T-I-R-E-D! MY legs felt like columns of cement. (Please note that I did not say concrete. I said cement. Cement is wet)

Since I woke up late, I ran late. And since I ran late, it was hotter. At the three mile mark, I felt a heat headache starting to build. So…

I stopped…and my time wasn’t particularly inspiring. Oh well…

I will assail this mountain again on Saturday.

Your legs might have been akin to the Quickcrete 5000 bag. This is a faster setting version with added fiberous reinforcement, it even sets fast in wet conditions or even underwater. It gives you a feeling similar to arthritis. You might want to try the pole and post setting bag (60lbs), little heavier gravel (3/4 inch). This may only give you a slight bone grinding feeling similar to loss of colagen in the joints and is more age appropriate for your physique. Then again, there’s a 90lb bag of the smooth portland-type but that comparison is usually associated with young people. And always remember, you’re still older than me…
