Clueless, the real version

As my youngest daughter and I drove to church, she remarked at how she loved the smell of her hair because of some mousse and gel she put in it.

I remarked that she really enjoys smelling good things.

She said, “I am sooo a smell person.”

“Cakes, why don’t you at least practice English with me so that when you are around important people, you will sound intelligent.”

“I am SUCH a smell person.”

It took my mind a second to realize what she said. She was completely clueless to the fact that I was referring to her description of herself as a smell person. I started laughing. She is so cute.

She tried again, “OK. I am REALLY a smell person.”

I laughed harder.

“”WHAT???”

“Cakes, how about, ‘I really delight in nice scents.”

Then she got it!
